An exclusive fusion of our beloved tiramisu with welcomed springtime flavors of the season.

Our ladyfingers are soft - not crunchy like big box stores - and the recipe comes from a great-great aunt who first published her savoiardi in a community church cookbook we found in our parent's attic. Soaked with coffee and rum, then layered with house-made raspberry coulis and a sicilian pistachio-infused mascarpone and egg yolk cream. A true labor of love brings this six-layer showstopper to your holiday table.

Topped with a decorative finish of fluffy vanilla bean chantilly creme, and cocoa powder. 8" round tiramisu serves 10 - 12.

Somehow, It Works

Okay, every single person I know was excited for this cake UNTIL they read it still had coffee flavor. No one could put together how that went with pistachio and raspberry. I'm pleased to report there's some Strega Nonna witchcraft happening here, because the cake was ridiculously good.

Would it be better without the coffee? In my opinion, yes. I think it took away from the raspberry in particular.

Did I dislike it because of the coffee? No. This cake was 100% worth the price tag. I was teased for spending so much on one cake. This was BEFORE the cake was tasted. No one teased me after that. They were too busy trying to come back to Earth after their souls briefly left their bodies from the divine flavor.

Ma even gave slices away to her neighbors, and every single one of them gushed over the cake and demanded to know where I got it. Basically, I would buy this again. Probably every year. And the wonderful quality made me extra excited to try the Torta della Nonna I plan to obtain for my birthday this summer.
