A Sicilian specialty dating back to the 10th century, this light, sweet cake tastes as good as it looks.

Two layers of vanilla bean pan di spagna (Italian sponge cake) soaked the sweet fruit syrup of our candied decorations, filled with ricotta, chocolate chips, and candied lemon and orange peel.

Next, our cassata is layered with a house-made marzipan, white vanilla bean glaze, and buttercream flourishes.

To finish, enjoy an ornate decoration of translucent, jammy seasonal fruits adorning the top. Our fruits are candied in-house and can take as long as week to prepare. Winter seasonal fruits include halved pears, floral quince, and sweet-tart persimmon slices.

Our 8" round serves 8 -10.

Storing your cake:
Because of the ricotta filling, this cake should be kept refrigerated until ready to serve. Cake can be removed from the refrigerator 1 - 2 hours prior to service to come to room temperature.
